The Territorial Department of Cultural Affairs Tour is a free guided experience on Futuna that offers an in-depth introduction to the island’s cultural landmarks, legends and history through the voices of knowledgeable local guides. Beginning at the Saint Pierre Chanel Sanctuary in Poi, the tour explores Futuna’s religious history and the story of the first Catholic martyr of Oceania before continuing to the dramatic Pointe des Pyramides headland, where geology, landscape and storytelling come together.
